Location: McLean, VA (On-site; not a remote or work-from-home position)
Salary: Negotiable
Job Type: Full-time
About Us:
CakeBoxx Technologies designs engineered supply chain solutions that protect and move the world’s most valuable, complex, and mission-critical cargo.
Our innovations — from our two-piece containers and modular transport platforms to specialized, vibration-controlled, and temperature-managed enclosures — give customers in the aerospace, energy, and high-tech industries the ability to move critical equipment safely, efficiently, and sustainably.
CakeBoxx bridges the gap between product design and real-world application. We don’t manage freight — we engineer how cargo moves. Our solutions eliminate risk, streamline logistics, and strengthen the U.S. supply chain for advanced manufacturing and defense-grade industries.
This new role will help us expand that mission — turning technical insight and supply-chain engineering into a seamless customer experience from concept through delivery.
Job Description:
The Supply Chain Systems and Packaging Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing engineered transport solutions that ensure cargo safety, compliance, and efficiency throughout the logistics lifecycle.
This is a cross-functional technical role blending mechanical design, logistics integration, and program execution. You’ll design the equipment and processes that move sensitive or heavy cargo, ensure technical alignment between engineering and transport partners, and drive the performance standards that protect customer payloads from damage, delay, or loss. To optimize the value of our solutions, you will conduct supply chain analysis, evaluation, and assessments for customer use cases for their product transport, operations, and transport scenarios to ensure that what we are designing seamlessly fits into the logistic plans of our customers.
You will lead the integration between engineering design, manufacturing, and logistics execution, ensuring every solution built by CakeBoxx performs flawlessly from the production floor to the delivery site.
