Supply Chain Coordinator - Transportation & Logistics

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Transportation and Logistics Coordinator. In this position, you will play a key role in coordinating logistics operations and providing excellent customer service to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of our products and services to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics coordination, transportation management with secondary experience in procurement and customer service.  Excellent written and oral communication, strong competency with office management software and problem-solving skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Freight forwarding and intermodal, domestic and international cargo transportation management and coordination
  • Oversee and manage logistics and transportation, and related customer services to ensure efficient and effective supply chain management for CakeBoxx’s products in a global market
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation and storage for CakeBoxx’s containers and platforms
  • Book, schedule and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and minimize transportation costs
  • Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate logistics activities and resolve any issues or delays
  • Support procurement requirements and processes
  • Proactively provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding order status, shipping schedules, and product availability
  • Proactively address customer concerns promptly and professionally, striving to achieve satisfactory resolutions
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support customer acquisition and retention efforts
  • Utilize and inform chain of command for awareness and decision support
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred
    • Intern applicants shall be presently enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in a business, supply chain, logistics, or transportation related discipline.
  • Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain management and operations, with a focus on transportation and logistics
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination and customer service, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Knowledge of domestic and international transportation regulations, customs procedures, and inventory management principles
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent Ability to communicate verbally and in writing (writing samples required)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation
  • Experience in developing quotes, managing large-scale projects, and negotiating sensitive issues, to include – contract terms, rates/pricing, etc. with suppliers and customers
  • Possess  excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong English language proficiency in communicating technical and subject matter information, both in verbally and in writing
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • U.S. Passport and ability to travel preferred

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented individual to join our Engineering Team as a staff intern engineer. In this position, you will work as part of a team, researching and developing innovative supply chains solutions for High Value, High Consequence, Mission Critical Cargo for the defense, aerospace, and renewable energy sectors. The internship is for 12-month period with the opportunity to be employed as a CakeBoxx full-time engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists Engineers with research, development, and design of products
  • Review and support refinement of engineering drawings
  • Collaborate with product managers, team members, and customers to develop innovative products for the cargo supply chain
  • Generate reports based on data analysis and project progress
  • Assists Engineers with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university for Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Civil Engineering
  • Have knowledge of CAD software, such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc. to create and modify technical drawings
  • Ability to perform basic engineering calculations
  • Ability to organize information for use in drawings or other documents
  • Analytical skills: ability to develop fact-based recommendations resulting from in-depth data analysis
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Communication skills: collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude

As a business analyst intern you will work with team members on business development, sales and marketing, sales operations, financial management, administration, and customer service. Applicants should possess excellent written and oral communication, strong competency with office management software and problem-solving skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential support for project management activities, including task coordination, documentation preparation, and stakeholder communications
  • Support the development of business strategies and plans
  • Create presentations and sales and marketing materials
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of business processes
  • Serve as integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology-enabled solutions to meet business needs
  • Leverage data analysis tools to collect, analyze, and interpret business data
