Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and expanding our customer base and revenue. The ideal candidate will possess:

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Business Development: Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities for CakeBoxx Technologies, with a primary focus on the market areas of defense, aerospace, wind/energy, steel, and special projects, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders: 
    • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion 
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking efforts 
    • Build and nurture relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders to maximize business development opportunities 
    • Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective customers, showcasing the company’s value proposition and capabilities 
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of customer solutions 
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities for the company 
    • Track and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of business development initiatives and inform future strategies 
    • Coordinate customer events, meetings, appointments, and conferences 
    • Maintain proactive and consistent communication with both current and prospective customers, supporting procurement requirements and processes as necessary 
    • Collaborate with other internal functions to support customer acquisition and retention efforts

Qualifications/Experience: 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred. 
  • Relevant Experience: 3+ years of practical experience with a proven track record in business development, acquiring/retaining customers, and managing multiple customers/pipelines. 

Experience working with the defense, aerospace, wind/energy, steel, and/or special project industry areas is preferred. Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment. 

  • Past experience in the supply chain, logistics, transportation, freight forwarding and/or third party logistics provider industry (with emphasis on handling special projects and large industrial product solutions) is highly desirable.

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a business analyst intern. The intern will work in the Commercial Operations Department of CakeBoxx at Headquarters in Mclean, VA.  Commercial Operations is responsible for business development, sales and marketing, sales operations, transportation management, financial management and administration, and customer service. The applicant will work with team members from Commercial Operations on business development, quote development, market analytics, quotes/sales analytics, supply chain/logistics, and other special projects as required.  Applicants should possess excellent written and oral communication, strong competency with office management software, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting research and gathering data related to the company’s business processes and systems
  • Help in analyzing business data (i.e. quotation history/sales history), identifying trends and patterns, and making recommendations for improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess existing business processes and identify areas for enhancement or automation
  • Assist in preparing and presenting reports to management and other stakeholders
  • Support the development of business strategies and plans
